Maxi skirts fashion – Will Maxi skirts strikes in 2012?
“Fashion produces attractive things which always become ugly with time. And after a while the same thing will be attracted”. Maxi skirts are of that kind. They are very popular in end of 80’s and faded lately. But now it’s coming live again.
Maxi skirts are trendy even today, because of the head-to-toe elegance they can provide. These are the perfect choice for Fall/Autumn. And recently many celebrities were spotted in maxi skirts.
They are really comfortable to wear around. When anyone decides to wear these skirts, the question is whether to use boot or sandal. It depends on how the skirt looks like. If it's got a lot of volume, you can wear it with boots since its almost autumn, or with something kind of chunky. And if you have wide hip, So that wear a long skirt with a lot of volume, then you need to wear more substantial shoes. Otherwise, your lower half just looks ridiculous. But if somebody doesn't have those problems, other options may work better for them.
And height might not be the fact for not to wearing maxi skirts, I have hearted it from few,
“I’m really starting to like maxi skirts, but I’m afraid they will make me look too shorter.” It is not hard to pull off. Just adjust it with high boot. And you will feel better with these skirts. And please don’t cut at its bottom since it takes off the skirts complete elegance.

Globalization of fashion – just think about it.
Now a day’s almost everyone cares a lot about their appearances and dressing. But in depth, today’s fashion is definitely becoming homogeneous (simply westernizing). This may be partially due to the impact of media ... TV, movies, and the internet. And also because of western societies colonizing a lot of far places and spreading all over the world. And people blindly love their way of dressing and fashion trends, with thinking about their climatic conditions, money value, regional tradition etc...
Fashion is evolving, but not in varieties of trends... just the opposite. It's becoming one big planet, with everyone dressing pretty much unique. Perhaps it takes time till the trends arrive here, but I observed that the clothes sold in stores were very similar to the one I saw in the other continents... and on the streets, the same. It was even alarming; you know the whole globalization phenomenon is out there; think of how the world's becoming trendy uniform.
Rebecca Taylor a fashion designer - “We used to design for each market, but now what's popular in the US is popular in Asia.”
The globalization of fashion diminishes individual style and dressing trend. Anyone can just wear the latest trends, it takes nearly no style or imagination to do that... I think that, if it continues in such way, where everyone is dressing so much alike all over the world, there will be a big influx of very unique personal style and after two centuries, people can’t figure out their region’s trend, dressing style; just everything will be unique (western).

Winter 2011-2012 Fashion. SKIRTS. What skirts are in fashion this season.
Skirt is an indispensable thing in the wardrobe of every woman. This winter you'll be plenty to choose from. Fashion designers represented a big variety of colors, styles, textures, variations of detail, so that we can say that the skirt in the cold season will be one of the most stylish woman's wardrobe items.
Now is the time to get rid of jeans and pants and put on a skirt and heels.
Leaher skirts.
The fashion hit of this season. A leather skirt is an amazing way to turn heads and get noticed. It can turn a woman into a lady vamp, and it can turn a teenage girl into a woman. It's one piece of clothing that can look cold and hard in a closet, but warm and sexy when it's worn right way.
Leather skirts from Jean Paul Gaultier, Ports 1961, Tommy Hilfiger, Aigner, Holly Fulton, Chanel and Hermes
Warm skirts.
This season you don't have to choose between beauty and health. This winter designers advise to wear fur skirts.
Fur skirts seen at Betty Jackson, Matthew Williamson and Albino.
High waist skirts.
You should wear high waist skirt with thin polo-neck sweater or blouse tucking it into your skirt.
Seen at Temperley London, Badgley Mischka, Antonio Marras, Sonia Rykiel, Nicole Farhi and Roccobarocco.
Pencil skirts.
Designers refreshed classical models with bright prints, appliqué, flounces and patch pockets.
Pencil skirts from Zac Posen, DKNY, Donna Karan, Ports 1961, J. Saunders, Tsumori Chisato and Elie Saab.
Mini skirts.
Mini skirts are extremely fashionable this season. But fashion designers advise to forget about tight-fitting skirts and choose trapezoid cut.
Seen at Issa London, Acne, Ungaro, Thakoon, Tibi and Herve Leger

Stolen style! Can you steal style?
Hi, in this fashion world, everyone try to be stylish. But are they carrying their own style? I think very few have their own unique style, and the rest copy their style.
It is quite common; you can find school friends, co workers, neighbors stealing your way of dressing, makeup etc...
This may make most to feel sad, I had saw it with my friends too,
Words of my friend,
"I had a friend who completely stole my style. It sucks. It was something that really ruined our friendship... I didn't belief being around her anymore... seriously. I'd wear something new, and the first thing that would come to my mind was "she's going to copy it too".
From my point, just be cool and don't worry about these things. I am not saying it correct, but the real thing is,
There is no such thing as a purely original style in this world, the style one who own might have the impact of far away regions culture, or it might be used at 60's or 80's. Fashion and style are been mostly reconstructed.
But, I personally believe "be a first rate version of yourself than a second rate version of anyone else".
I have came across people who are very fashionable actually but have no personal style...copying magazine or from friends.
For few in the world it never hurts, as they take it as complement and disguise themselves as trendsetter.
Here I come to conclusion,
To me, style is personal expressions of who you are...we each have our own style that is a reflection of how we see ourselves and how we wish to be seen...
Ti is not just clothes and accessories, but also how we express ourselves like way of walking, speaking etc...
Anyone can steal others style, but they can ever succeed in expressing, comforting it completely.

What to wear when you're at 30’s – a fashion statement.
Have you ever thought about it, what looks stylish and what doesn’t when you cross the 30’s.
I don’t signify there’s something like "rules" but I think there are things that -even if you have a nice body to pull them off, it begin to look kinda when you grow up.
I don’t signify there’s something like "rules" but I think there are things that -even if you have a nice body to pull them off, it begin to look kinda when you grow up.
I came across the comments like “long hair looks bad over 30”, but I really don’t think so... It is odd how opinion changes. When you’re 20 you are sure what a 30 something shouldn’t wear, but when you are there you begin to wonder, as you don’t see yourself really different, but everybody’s insight about you really does.
I personally believe in,
“Someone who accepts their age is more appealing than someone who tries to dress younger.”
In a magazine I noted some thing related to this,
Early 30's need not to bother about it so much. But......after the age of 34 (this seems to be THE year where it all starts) you need to actually take a look at yourself. Liz Hurley could pull off what she wore in her early 30's but now she’s 39........she just cant in the way she used to, it looks sort of wannabe young again even though its only a few years difference.
And I finally go with the words of my friend, in fact you may too agree with it,
“You look younger it’s a rather pitiful compliment.
You look great! That’s a great one...” (In the sense of dressing)
You look great! That’s a great one...” (In the sense of dressing)

Tom Ford's spring/summer 2012 collection
Tom Ford's fashion shows are 'invite only' events, which means it's perfectly feasible that the only names on the guest list are a few stuffed toys whose lack of live-blogging capabilities means the designer has another two months to actually get his collection finished. Obviously that would never happen though, never.
So, two months after fashion week, Tom Ford has debuted his spring summer 2012 collection on Vogue.com. In the best possible way, it's exactly what we expected, which makes all the cloak and dagger business a bit pointless. We've got ultra-lux form-fitting dressed with clinched waists, bondage-esque corsets, satin suits in his trademark purple, which frankly we're surprised Cadburys hasn't tried to trademark.
Talking about the collection, Ford said:
"I want to do classic clothes. I don’t want to do trendy collections that swing around from season to season. I want to do things that will stay in a woman’s wardrobe a long time—quite ‘forever’ pieces. So I’m looking for consistency."
Quite. We think Ford is at his best when he's putting Nicholas Hoult in an angora sweater for A Single Man. Let's hope there's some truth in the rumour that he could be doing an H&M collaboration then.

Probably a must stuff for high heel users.
Squeezing your feet into damaging fashion footwear can prove to be extremely detrimental in the long run.
A quarter of all the bones in the human body are found in our feet and on average we walk around 1,00,000 miles in our entire lifetime, which is equivalent of four times around the Equator, a media report said.
However Dr Tariq Khan, a consultant podiatrist at a leading hospital in London, has offered some simple techniques and solutions that will allow you to wear your favorite heels without causing long-lasting damage.
If you have a wobble-board, practise for an hour or so in the week before you wear them to strengthen your ankles and reduce the risk of sprains.
Alternatively if you own a pair of MBT-style exercise shoes wear them to and from work.
Don’t overdo it though as Dr Khan says wearing these too often can throw out your posture.
He has suggested that on the night before a party give your feet a spa-style pampering by soaking in warm, salty water and then removing dry skin and massaging with moisturiser.
“Make sure nails are short so they don’t press into the toes in narrow shoes,” said Dr Khan.
Slip into fold-up pumps for the journey home after your party but do make sure they have a sturdy sole.
Once you are back home after the party, soak your feet in salty water for 10 minutes to reduce any swelling or inflammation.

Something for fashion lover's this winter.
I think it would be their fashion trend for this winter. I don’t know what to call these but I've seen them at many fashion shows so far...Nearly a thick scarf or muff around the neck that more or less looks like it's holding their head up...
This new interpretation of the circle scarves would appear everywhere this winter. And it looks dead luxurious and endulgent! The closest thing to this would be American apparel circle scarf...The fur versions are definitely more eye catching though.
What I adore about a muff is that you can wear them as a neck accessory. There is a fine line between a muff and a short scarf. It all depends on how it is used.

Successful fashion models with imperfect teeth and teeth fashion trends.
Fashion and beauty are not constant one. They vary on each individual’s vision; a fashion liked by one might not be liked by others. So, here I put my thought,
I actually find models (and people in general) with imperfect teeth, but they really look sexy. It gives them personality and character. I can think of a few models like Lara Stone, Lauren, Hutton, Romina lanaro, Adriana Lima, Louise P and many more. And I think they did not make any measures to make it perfect. They deserves for what they worked. It gives unique identity for them.
And in Japan it is called yaeba. Women are paying dentist to craft their teeth crooked. They take it as a fashion trend. There are few famous fashion models with crooked teeth in Japan.

For the Spring/Summer 2012 season, Porsche Design is featuring color in the Women's Fashion Collection. The dominant colors are striking Sulphur and fresh Raspberry. The product range has also been considerably extended, including not only leather jackets and exclusive Premium Jeans but also fashionable silk scarves and silk blouses.
Introduced in Autumn/Winter 2011, the innovative RawTec Line has been advanced and embodies the maxims of Porsche Design perfectly in a timeless and purist manner. Thanks to the use of full-grain lambskin leather, with nappa finish on the inside, these leather jackets need no lining at all. Visually impressive as a result, they are also particularly comfortable to wear especially in the summer months. The secret lies in the top-quality workmanship and the exceptionally fine finish, clear proof of the importance of the smallest detail in the manufacturing philosophy, avoiding any doubling of the material. The leather is laid seam on seam, stitched with a zig zag finish, and then welded with a tape, creating a unique lightness as well as the purist look. For women, the new Summer Collection not only has the P'1140 RawTec Blazer to offer, but also the leather coat-skirt combination, the P'1150 RawTec Coat, and the leather P'1150 Hoody, a real eye-catcher in the feminine raspberry colour tone.

Simpson sisters debut line
While Jessica Simpson has been in the news a lot lately for her (just confirmed) pregnancy, she and sister Ashlee have been working on another baby - their new clothing line for tween girls. The pair will visit Belk in Crabtree Valley Mall on Saturday (1-4 p.m.) to debut the collection and meet fans. The new line builds upon the coats and shoes for girls offered through the Jessica Simpson label, and features a mix of Jessica's girl-next-door charm and Ashlee's rocker aesthetic.
"We want to inspire young girls to have fun and express their personality and creativity through fashion," says Ashlee in an interview with the sisters via email.

Britain’s best-dressed women - Kate Middleton.
Fashion experts from the UK edition of American fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar have crowned the Duchess of Cambridge as the best-dressed woman of Britain in 2011. The judges were told to choose 20 women who represented British style and Kate(fashion model and actress) headed the list that included Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, actresses Andrea Riseborough, Keira Knightley and Tilda Swinton, model Kate Moss, Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife Samantha and fashion designer Stella McCartney.
“Catherine’s incredible style evolution has gripped us all,” the panel of judges said. A Global Language Monitor survey in August had said that London had overtaken New York as the world’s fashion capital for 2011 and the Will-Kate royal wedding had a big role to play in this.
“She gave us the year’s, if not the century’s, most thrilling fashion moment,” said Lucy Yeomans, editor of the Harper’s Bazaar.
